Small Groups and Discipleship

Here at Bayview we want to be able to help you become a true follower of Christ, and one of the ways that we can do that is through Biblical teaching. You may find just what you need.

Sunday School is 9:30- 10:20 AM Sunday Mornings.

Student Classes

Grades K-6th are working with Group's Hands on Bible. Each week they are able to touch, feel, and experience God's Word as they grow.

The Jr. / Sr. High Sunday School Class is studying the basics of the Christian Faith. This study by Josh McDowell helps young people discern how to make the right choices for their lives. In this study students will discover what makes a choice right or wrong, and why sometimes the choices that look "beneficial" may actually be wrong.

Adult Classes

In this Study on The Good Life you will learn not only what a truly good life is, but how your world view and what you believe shapes your life. God desires for all believers to live a good life, but so often we live below where he desires us to be. Based on the book by Charles Colson, you will discover how to live the good life that God intended for you. This study is facilitated by Pastor Jack Steenbergh & Denny McCarty. So come and experience what it means to live The Good Life.

Our walk through the Bible class is studying the Book of Acts. Come learn how it all began. From Adam and Eve to Joseph and his brothers the foundations of Christianity lay in this opening book of the Bible. So come join the study facilitated by Betty Parker, Jim Pascoe, Linda Nash and Don Griffin.

Cam's Class for Married and Marriageables (M&M's) is currently studying the book The 5 Languages of Apology. Sometimes "I'm sorry" isn't enough. In this book you will discover how to apologize both to your mate and to other important people in your life. Using the principles of the 5 Love languages this book teaches us how to use our mistakes to build up significant relationships rather than to tear them down. Come join the class and learn how to strengthen your family through the art of apology. This class is facilitated by Pastor Cameron Dockery.

Small Group Home Bible Studies

Thursday nights at 6:30 PM the Bayview small groups are gathering together to do a study in the Alpha (Evangelism) Program. Please contact Pastor Louise Holder or the Church Office for details, and to find the group that is right for you.

Midweek Prayer & Bible Study

On Wednesday evenings the adults gather together for a time of prayer and looking into God's Word. The group is currently studying prophecy and the Book of Revelation. Have you ever wondered what this strange book at the end of the Bible is talking about? Do you have questions about how the world will end? Then come and join this study led by Pastor Jack Steenbergh.

This group meets at 7:00 PM at the church

Needlework / Craft Night

Once a month a group from the church meets for the fellowship and creativity. Craft night is a time for spending with friends and if they aren't friends when you enter they certainly will be before you leave. Also don't forget you need to bring your own craft project.

Partners in Prayer

Sunday Evenings at 6:00 PM come and join Bayview's prayer cluster, and pray for the needs of the church and the greater community of Traverse City. The group meets in the Fireside Library here at Bayview.

Traverse City Community Bible Study

Tuesday Night at 7:00 PM each week the Traverse City Community Bible Study meets here at Bayview.

Men's Basketball

Tuesday Nights from 7-9 PM the men's ministry holds basketball night in the gymnasium here at Bayview. It is a pick-up game where all guys over the age of 15 are invited to come and join in.

Loose Weight in 2008

So how are you doing on your New Year's Resolution to loose weight.
Thursday nights from 6-7:00 PM join a weight loss group here at Bayview facilitated by Vera Pascoe.
